    • Step back in time competition winners
      Here are the winners of our ‘Step Back in Time’ competition to win a scooter. Some amazing entries combining historical knowledge with artistic skill - well done!

      Some of our Y3 and Y4 children began their first Wild Tribe session today.
    • A Lost Penguin!
      Who left snowy footprints in our classroom? It was a lost penguin, trying to find his way home.
    • Wellbeing Warriors!
      Children from Y2, Y4 and Y5 have been taking part in Wellbeing Warriors!

    • Christmas
      At Sandbrook we celebrated Christmas by producing some excellent Christmas performances. In our RE lessons we have been learning about the Christmas story and how Christmas is celebrated throughout the world.
    • If Music be the food of love, play on.
      In year 2 we have been listening to the Music of Gustav Holst. We listened to Mercury and thought about things that it reminded us of. Next we drew pictures of things that we were reminded of. It was a very exciting and interesting lesson.
    • Our local area
      In year 2 we have been investigating our local area. We walked around Kirkholt and then we made a map in the playground. After this we made a map of our local area in our Foundation books.
    • Harvest
      Thank you for your generosity! We collected a huge amount of food for the Rochdale food bank. Incredibly we managed to fill a whole van full of food.
    • Visit to places of worship
      In year 2 we walked around the local area to investigate all the buildings used for worship. These photographs were taken by year 2 children on their journey.
